Job Purpose / Executive Summery

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking administrative work and management of the office;
  • Ensuring smooth flow of work in the office;
  • Maintaining the diary;
  • Preparing response to correspondences;
  • Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment;
  • Effective management of office protocol;
  • Processing data;
  • Arranging for the repair of office equipment;
  • Recording dictation in shorthand and transcribing it in typewritten form;
  • Operating office equipment;
  • Attending to visitors/clients;
  • Handling telephone calls; and
  • Guiding and supervising office administrative staff

1 Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management / Social Sciences or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya; Mandatory
2 Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) stages I, II and III from the Kenya National Examination Council; Mandatory
3 Proficiency in computer applications; and Mandatory
4 Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution. Mandatory
