Job Purpose / Executive Summery

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out maintenance and services of GIS instruments;
  • Undertaking topographical and cadastral mapping for roads;
  • compiling orthophoto mapping and photo-mosaics;
  • Undertaking production, collection, interpretation, maintenance and dissemination of maps;
  • Undertaking photographic rectification, photo-preparation and dispositive point– purging; 48
  • digitizing land use and land cover maps;
  • Preparing reports based on survey data results; and
  • Designing of user friendly interfaces.

1 Have a Diploma in any of the following fields: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geometric Engineering, Land Surveying, Cartography or Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Mandatory

3 Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution Mandatory
